Tim was our machine gunner and Myles was his assistant. Tim was a tough, but good natured guy, who always had everyone laughing. He picked at Myles, constantly, trying to ryle him up, but Myles was constantly smiling and laughing at Tim, calling him Timothy with his Minnissota/Norwegian accent. Everyone liked Myles. He was the best one in our platoon. If anyone ever thought about doing or saying negative about Myles, they would find themselves surrounded by 1st Squad. A few years before Tim died, he told me Myles wanted to become a Lutheran Minister after he got out of the military. He would have made a great one.
