He served with Echo Company, 3/187th. Thomas was killed in action on May 18, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia/Hamburger Hill. Thomas was from New York, New York and was twenty-one years of age. He is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York. His name is etched in The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 24W, Line 39. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten!
