Sylvester C Martinez

Sylvester Martinez arrived in Vietnam in September of 1970. He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Slyvester was wounded in action on June 9, 1971 during a combat operation when a booby-trap detonated. He was medevac'd from the field and was admitted to a military hospital where he succumbed to his wounds on June 15, 1971.

Sylvester was from Waxahachie, Texas and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Tuleta Cemetery, Tuleta, Texas. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 3W, Line 77.
