He served with Bravo Company, 3/187th. Steven was killed in action on October 6, 1968 during a combat operation in Hau Nghia Province. Steven was from Ahoskie, North Carolina and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, North Carolina.
