Sherman Alvin Furrow Jr

Sherman Alvin Furrow Jr arrived in Vietnam in March of 1968, He served with Alpha Company, 3/187th. Sherman was killed in action on October 8, 1968 when the convoy leaving FSB Patton II, heading to Cu Chi was ambushed and hit by RPG.

Sherman was from Rocky Mount, Virginia and was twenty-three years of age. He is buried at Pigg River Baptist Church, Franklin County, Virginia. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 41W, Line 29.
