Russell Carrell Fordham

Russell Carrell Fordham arrived in Vietnam in January of 1969 for his second tour. He served with Alpha Company, 3/187th and was a Sergeant First Class. Russell was killed in action on September 4, 1969 when his location was hit by "supporting mortar fire directed at hostile forces".

Russell was from Albany, Georgia and was thirty-five years old. He is buried at Evergreen Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 18W, Line 32.
