He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Roy was killed in action on May 21, 1969. Roy was from Aiken, South Carolina and was nineteen years of age. He is buried at Phillipi Baptist Church, Edgefield County, South Carolina. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 24W, Line 68. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten!
