He served with Charlie Company, 3/187th. Roger and four other Charlie Company soldiers were killed in action on March 22, 1971 when their night defensive position west-northwest of Khe Sanh Combat Base was attacked by NVA. Roger was from Somerset, Pennsylvania and was twenty-one years of age. He is buried at Casebeer Cemetery, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 4W, Line 68. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten! Photo obtained from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund - Wall of Faces.
