Roberto Cobarrubias
Roberto Cobarrubias deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Charlie Company. Roberto was wounded in action on an unknown date while on a combat operation. He was medevac'd from the field and admitted to a military hospital. He was then moved to a hospital in Japan, where he succumbed to his wounds on August 7, 1968.
Roberto was from San Jose, California and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, California. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 49W, Line 22.
