Robert Anthony Itzoe
Robert Anthony Itzoe deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He initially served with Alpha Company but transferred to Echo Company - Recon Platoon. Robert was killed in action in the early morning hours of March 17, 1968, when his night defensive position was hit by a NVA/VC mortar.
Robert was from Baltimore, Maryland and was twenty-eight years of age. He is buried at Baltimore National Cemetery, Baltimore, Maryland. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 45E, Line 12.
