He served with Charlie Company. Robert was killed in action on September 17, 1968 when his platoon’s ambush position came under attack during the NVA assault on FSB Pope. Robert was from Orange, New York and was twenty-nine years of age. He is buried at Dolgeville Cemetery, Dolgeville, New York.
