Richard Lordy Barbee
Richard Lordy Barbee arrived in Vietnam in July of 1970. He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Richard was wounded in action on May 14, 1971 during a combat operation when a mine detonated. He was evacuated to a military hospital but succumbed to his wounds on May 19, 1971.
Richard was from Salinas California and was twenty-two years of age. He is buried at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Prunedale, California. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 3W, Line 40.
