Raymond Lawrence Whelpley

Raymond Lawrence Whelpley arrived in Vietnam in March of 1968. He served with Alpha Company, 3/187th. Raymond was killed in action in the early morning hours of September 6, 1968 during a cordon operation of Ap Trang Dau.

Raymond was from Lake Orion, Michigan and was twenty-one years of age. He is buried at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, Pontiac, Michigan. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 45W, Line 58.
