He served with Charlie Company, 1st Platoon, 3/187th. Ralph was wounded in action on May 18, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia/Hamburger Hill and was evacuated from the field. He succumbed to his wounds later that same day. Ralph was from Owosso, Michigan and was twenty-one years of age. He is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Owosso, Michigan. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 24W, Line 38. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten! Photo obtained from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund - Wall of Faces.
