Phillip Charles Smith
Phillip Charles Smith arrived in Vietnam in December of 1968. He served with Alpha Company. Phillip was wounded in action on an unknown date during a combat operation. He was admitted to a military hospital and placed on the seriously injured list. On August 3, 1969 he succumbed to his wounds.
Phillip was from Pacific Grove, California and was twenty years of age. He is buried at El Carmelo Cemetery, Pacific Grove, California. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 20W, Line 93.
