He served as Alpha Company Commander in February to April of 1970 and again in May to June 1970. CPT Bryan was killed in action on June 5, 1970 when a booby-trap detonated during a combat operation. CPT Bryan was from Bari, Italy and was twenty-three years of age. He is buried at Comunale Bari, Via Crispi 251, Bari, Italy.
