He served with Bravo Company, 2nd Platoon. Odis was killed in action on March 21, 1968 due to gunshot wounds while on a combat operation. Odis was from Harvey, Illinois and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, Illinois. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 45E, Line 46. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten!
