He served with Bravo Company, 1st Platoon, 3/187th. Myles was killed in action on May 13, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia/Hamburger Hill. Myles was from Newfolden, Minnesota and was nineteen years of age. He is buried at Salem Cemetery, Thief River Falls, Minnesota.
