He served with Charlie Company, 3/187th. Michael was killed in action on May 14, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia/Hamburger Hill. Michael was from Council Bluffs, Iowa and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
