Melvin B Fenn
Melvin B Fenn deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Alpha Company. Melvin lost his life on March 6, 1968 due to accidental drowning. He had been observed washing his clothes along the Song Be and apparently fell in.
Melvin's place of residence was listed as Compton, California but he was born and raised in New Jersey. Melvin was twenty years of age. He is buried at Midway Green Cemetery, Matawan, New Jersey. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 43E, Line 18.
