He served with Charlie Company, 3/187th. Luther was killed in action on May 14, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia/Hamburger Hill. Luther was from Atlanta, Georgia and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Southview Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund - Wall of Faces, Panel 24W, Line 9. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten!
