He served with Charlie Company. Lester was wounded in action on February 6, 1968 when Charlie Company positions came under ground and mortar attack. He was medevac’d from the field and admitted to the 93rd Evacuation Hospital where he passed away due to congestive heart failure. Lester was from Libby, Montana and was eighteen years of age. He is buried at Fairmont Memorial Park, Spokane, Washington. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 38E, Line 30. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten!
