Lemuel Ebb Terrell

Lemuel Ebb Terrell arrived in Vietnam in August of 1968. He served with Alpha Company, 3/187th. Lemuel was killed in action on May 3, 1969 during a combat operation on Dong Ngai near FSB Airborne. Elements of Alpha Company were on patrol when Lemuel spotted an NVA position to his front. Lemuel was able to warn other members of his platoon and engage the NVA. Lemuel was hit by automatic weapons fire.

Lemuel was from Purvis, Mississippi and was nineteen years of age. He is buried at Grantham Cemetery, Lamar County, Mississippi. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 26W, Line 109.
