Kenneth Eugene Kotyluk
Kenneth Eugene Kotyluk deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served as a HHC Medic and was embedded with Charlie Company. Kenneth and five other Rakkasans were killed in action as a result of friendly artillery fire accidentally hitting their position on April 21, 1968. Kenneth was gravely wounded, was medevac'd from the field and was admitted to a US Army Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds on April 24, 1968.
Kenneth was from Sacramento, California and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, Fair Oaks, California. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 51E, Line 47.
