John Albert Giacone Jr

John Albert Giacone Jr arrived in Vietnam in August of 1968. He served with Alpha Company, 3/187th. John was wounded in action on October 8, 1968 when the convoy leaving FSB Patton II, heading to Cu Chi was ambushed and hit by RPG. John succumbed to his wounds on October 9, 1968.

John was from New York, New York and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Long Island National Cemetery, New York. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 41W, Line 35.
