He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Jerry was killed in action on May 18, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia/Hamburger Hill. Jerry was from Shelbyville, Louisiana and was twenty-two years of age. He is buried at Hollywood Cemetery, Wartrace, Tennessee.
