James Leonard Wood
James Leonard Wood arrived in Vietnam in September of 1969. He served with Charlie Company, 3/187th. James lost his life on June 14, 1970 due to accidental drowning.
James was from Rock Island, Illinois and was twenty-three years of age. He is buried at Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 9W, Line 55.
