James Joseph Strangeway Jr
James Joseph Strangeway Jr arrived in Vietnam in March of 1968. He served with Alpha Company, 3/187th. James and another Alpha Company soldier were killed on July 9, 1968 by friendly claymore mine when coming in from a night defensive position.
James was from Clifton, New Jersey and was twenty-five years of age. He is buried at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa, New Jersey. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 52W, Line 8.
