He served with Bravo Company, 3/187th. Henry was killed in action on September 12, 1968 when a task force was formed to come to the aid of a 25th Infantry Division convoy that had been ambushed on Route 22 between Tay Ninh and Trang Bang. Henry was from New York, New York and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Long Island National Cemetery, New York. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 44W, Line 38.
