George Ramiro Sosa

George Ramiro Sosa deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Bravo Company. George was wounded in action on an unknown date. He was medically evacuated from the field and admitted to the 24th Evac Hospital. He was later moved to the 106th General Hospital in Japan. On May 27, 1968, George succumbed to his wounds.

George was from McAllen, Texas and was twenty-two years of age. He is buried Valley Memorial Gardens, McAllen, Texas. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 64W, Line 3.
