He served with Delta Company, 3rd Platoon, 3/187th. George was killed in action on May 13, 1969 during the assault on Dong Ap Bia when a dust-off/medical evacuation helicopter was shot down. George was from Astoria, New York and was twenty-two years of age. His burial location is currently unknown. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund - Wall of Faces, Panel 25W, Line 109. RIP soldier! Never forget! Never forgotten!
