He served with Charlie Company. Frederick was killed in action on September 7, 1968 during a combat operation near the village of X Sa Nho (2). Due to the intensity of the extended firefight, his body was recovered on September 8, 1968 Frederick was from Bangor Maine and was twenty-one years of age. He is buried at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor, Maine. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 44W, Line 4. RIP soldier! Never forget. Never forgotten.
