Felix Vazquez Jr
Felix Vazquez Jr deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Alpha Company, 4th Platoon, 3/187th. Felix and five other Rakkasans were killed in action on April 21, 1968 when friendly artillery fire accidently hit their position during a combat operation.
Felix was from Long Island City, New York and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Long Island National Cemetery. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 51E, Line 26.
