Donald Earl Bear

Donald Earl Bear deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Bravo Company, 2nd Platoon and was on his second tour in Vietnam. SGT Bear and three other Bravo Company soldiers were killed in action on July 8, 1968 during a combat operation.

Donald was from Mountain View, Oklahoma and was twenty-six years of age. He is buried at Fort Sill Post Cemetery, Lawton, Oklahoma. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 43W, Line 42.
