David Lee Edney

David Lee Edney deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Echo Company, Recon Platoon. David was killed in action on March 13, 1968 when the Echo Company area on Phuoc Vinh Basecamp came under enemy mortar attack.

David was from Erwin, Tennessee and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Roselawn Memorial Park, Johnson City, Tennessee. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 44E, Line 35.
