David Louis Bidart
David Louis Bidart deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Charlie Company, 2nd Platoon. David was wounded in action on March 5, 1967 during a combat operation near Song Be City in Phuoc Long Province. He was medevac'd from the field and admitted to a military hospital. However, David succumbed to his wounds.
David was from Reno, Nevada and was eighteen years of age. He is buried at Winnemucca Cemetery, Winnemucca, Nevada. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 43W, Line 003.
