He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Clarence was killed in action on February 26, 1969 while walking point during a combat operation. Clarence was from Marrero, Louisiana and was twenty-two years of age. He is buried at Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, Louisiana.
