He served with Alpha Company. Anthony and one other Alpha Company soldier were killed by friendly claymore mine on July 9, 1968 when coming in from a night defensive position. Anthony was from Rossville, Georgia and was nineteen years of age. He is buried at Peavine Cemetery, Rock Springs, Georgia.
