He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Andrew lost his life on July 31, 1970 during a combat operation when he drowned on a river crossing. Andrew was from Fairhope, Alabama and was nineteen years of age. He is buried at Friendship AME Church Cemetery, Daphne, Alabama.
