Andrew George Hawthorne
Andrew George Hawthorne arrived in Vietnam in April of 1970. He served with Delta Company, 3/187th. Andrew lost his life on July 31, 1970 during a combat operation when he drowned on a river crossing.
Andrew was from Fairhope, Alabama and was nineteen years of age. He is buried at Friendship AME Church Cemetery, Daphne, Alabama. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 8W, Line 72.
