Vernon Webb Christian Jr

Vernon Webb Christian Jr deployed with the 3/187th in December of 1967 during Operation Eagle Thrust. He served with Alpha Company. Vernon was killed in action on August 20, 1968 due to a booby-trap being detonated during a combat operation south of Phuoc Vinh.

Vernon was from Stewartsville, Ohio and was twenty years of age. He is buried at Glencoe Cemetery, Glencoe, Ohio. His name is etched on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, Panel 47W, Line 6.
